Cloud storage: Ctera adds analytics and cybersecurity to its NAS access

 

 

The Israeli startup multiplies the functions around its cloud storage sharing system in the form of a NAS. Data becomes searchable in S3, can be copied between regions and benefits from dedicated protection.

Ctera, one such startup that offers to share cloud storage space in the form of a NAS accessible to all branches, is evolving its solution with anti-malware, the ability to use multiple object storages in cloud and adding S3 access. In the wake of these improvements, founder Liran Eshel hands over the post of CEO to Oded Nagel (on the left in the photo), hitherto director of strategy. Officially, it is about moving the startup from the era of file sharing to that of infrastructure for analytical projects.
