RealTime leveraged the CTERA Intelligent Data Platform on Microsoft Azure to build a secure, scalable, and cost-effective solution for its customers.
By deploying efficient CTERA Edge Filers at customer sites, whether in a branch office or in the cloud, RealTime could provide local performance while intelligently caching only the active, most relevant data.
Data management was centralized with the CTERA Portal, which used native deduplication to efficiently utilize cost-efficient object storage. Instead of storing a customer’s entire 10 TB dataset on costly SSDs, RealTime only needed to keep about 500 GB active, drastically cutting storage costs without sacrificing accessibility.
Crucially, CTERA’s security-first architecture provided the confidence RealTime needed. The platform’s built-in anti-ransomware capabilities and rapid, immutable snapshot-based recovery became a cornerstone of their offering.
