CTERA Networks is a fast-growing startup in the space of cloud storage and is seeking a Sales Engineer (‘SE’) to provide mainly pre-sales and occasionally post-sales support for the entire CTERA solution portfolio. In addition to the pre-sale tasks listed below, the position involves also assisting in complex customer implementations, providing Tier-2 to 3 technical support and engineering consultation to service providers and large enterprise customers.

At CTERA you will:

  • Interact with partners – train partners and work on joint opportunities

IT Manager
This position provides IT support to CTERA’s WW employees as well as holds global responsibility for the entire IT infrastructure, network security and R&D labs. This is a HANDS-ON position that provides global support for corporate desktop/laptop computer infrastructure, supporting client’s onsite and remote.

Responsibilities:
  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades desktop/laptop hardware and software.
  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades R&D lab servers (VM / ESXi).
  • Management of user settings and security settings at desktop/laptop computer level including using active directory and Exchange.

C/C++ Programmer for the Storage Appliances Team

Automation Team Leader
The CTERA Automation team is responsible for developing backend for tests of advanced on-site storage appliances and off-site cloud multi-platform solutions. The Automation team leader position is a hands-on Java developing role focusing on leading the implementation of automated functionality and performance testing. In this position you will be responsible for managing, planning, designing, and deploying effective test automation suites in multi-platform environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of Java Automation to cover product features.
  • Demonstrate Programming leadership for 3 to 5 Java developers.
  • Work closely with Development and QA engineers to define and implement testing and verification strategies and automation scenarios.
  • Setup complicated multi-server cross-platform customer environments (Windows, Linux, and Solaris).
  • Identify performance issues and risk areas, generation of baseline statistics for the products and its analysis.
  • Research new testing technologies, develop cutting-edge automation and provide product enhancements and/or recommendations when necessary.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience as an advanced Java developer.
  • Experience with SQL, Scripting languages.
  • Independent, responsible, organized and quick learner with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of UNIX, Networking - An advantage.
  • Experience with automation and load generation/ measurement tools (such as JSystem, Selenium, Load Runner etc.) - An advantage.
  • Experience with database tuning and administration, virtualization environments - An advantage.

Manual QA Engineer

The CTERA QA automation team is responsible for testing advanced on-site storage appliances and off-site cloud multi-platform solutions. The position entails setting up environments for manual testing including networking, storage and databases in multi-platform systems.Candidate will work closely with the QA team members, CTERA development team and with external technical experts.

Technical Support Engineer

This is a customer-facing role where you will work to solve product and network problems of low to high complexity. You must be able to effectively utilize complex lab setups to duplicate and solve problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Help customers solve technical issues and properly set up their CTERA products
  • Answer questions from existing and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of CTERA products
  • Analyze customer's problems by using remote access, debug files, network captures and more
  • Recreate customer's symptoms at test lab and assist in troubleshooting and resolving product bugs
  • Follow up on customer cases/ tickets through CTERA's CRM
  • Write customer-facing technical documentation for CTERA's knowledge base and website
  • Communicate customer needs and wishes to CTERA's development team

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of technical support experience
  • 1+ years experience with SQL and database administration 
  • Technical BA/BSc degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a computer technology field 
  • Solid knowledge of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, and DNS, as well as the ability to use diagnostic tools such as packets sniffer, ping, nslookup- A must
  • Good Windows (including servers), Mac & Linux admin skills and troubleshooting ability- A must
  • Experience with storage systems - An advantage
  • Quick learner with a desire to learn new tools and techniques
  • Multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities
  • English-Fluent (verbal and written)
