Business Development Manager - NY

Location: New York City, NY

CTERA is hiring a high-impact contributor with a proven history of developing strategic partnerships with technology partners and enabling them to become significant pipeline and revenue contributors. CTERA is looking for a motivated self-starter to play an integral role in the company’s strategic growth plan. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Marketing.

CTERA is at an interesting inflection point, where we are partnered with many of the world’s leading cloud technology companies and a re-doubling of efforts on a set of focus alliance partners can pay dividends. An effective business development strategy will effectively triangulate CTERA’s unique “cloud builder” opportunity with the market drivers that are leading more and more customers to chose private and virtual private cloud SaaS options for file services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Triangulate and enable CTERA’s alliance partner selling motion in conjunction with CTERA’s reseller partners to create effective joint go-to-market solution selling activities.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of an alliance partner’s product portfolio, identify and drive strategic opportunities for incremental value creation.

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails to meet sales pipeline goals
  • Research target accounts, identify key players, and make them want to learn about CTERA

Sales Engineer - Germany

Location: Munich or Frankfurt, Germany

CTERA Networks is a fast-growing startup in the space of cloud storage and is seeking a Sales Engineer (‘SE’) to provide mainly pre-sales and sometimes post- sales support for the entire CTERA solution portfolio. In addition to the pre-sale tasks listed below, the position involves also assisting in complex customer implementations.  In addition to pre-sales activities, the SE will be responsible to provide Tier-2 to 3 technical support and engineering consultation to service providers and large enterprise customers.

At CTERA you will:

  • Interact with partners – train partners and work on joint opportunities
  • Support the local CTERA sales team in sales situations where technical help is needed
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle (qualify the opportunity, sell the solution on its technical merits, write POCs, respond to RFIs/RFPs, support complex implementations for large customers once the deal is closed etc.)
  • Transfer knowledge to both customers and partners (product demos, hands on training)
  • Work closely with service providers on deployments of CTERA solutions – conduct needs assessment and work with them to use our solution as part of their commercial objectives in the market place

JAVA Team Leader
The CTERA Automation team is responsible for developing backend for tests of advanced on-site storage appliances and off-site cloud multi-platform solutions. The Automation team leader position is a hands-on Java developing role focusing on leading the implementation of automated functionality and performance testing. In this position you will be responsible for managing, planning, designing, and deploying effective test automation suites in multi-platform environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of Java Automation to cover product features.
