By default, the appliance is configured to automatically obtain an IP address, as well as the DNS servers to use, from a DHCP server. If your network uses static IP addresses instead of DHCP, you must configure the appliance with the necessary settings.
To configure network settings
The System > Network page appears.
The Network Configuration Manager opens displaying the Network tab.

Choose this option to specify that the appliance should automatically obtain an IP address from the DHCP server in your network. This is the default setting. |

Choose this option to specify that the appliance should use a static IP address. You must complete the IP Address, Netmask, and Default Gateway fields. |

Type the IP address to assign the appliance. |

Obtain a DNS server address automatically |
Choose this option to specify that the appliance should automatically obtain DNS server IP addresses from the DHCP server in your network. This is the default setting. |

Choose this option to specify DNS servers for the appliance. You must complete the Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server fields. |

Primary DNS Server |
Type the primary DNS server's IP address. |

Secondary DNS Server |
Type the secondary DNS server's IP address. This field is optional. |
