File sharing is performed on the local network, while cloud storage services are used for off-site backup, file sync and share (FSS), and disaster recovery. Automated block-level incremental backup and restore functions include de-duplication, compression, and encryption technologies, for secure and efficient synchronization between the cloud storage service and the CTERA appliance.
