Configuring Mail Server Settings

To configure mail server settings

  1. In the Configuration tab's navigation pane, click Alerts > Mail Server.

    The Alerts > Mail Server page appears.

  2. Complete the fields using the information in the following table.
  3. Click Save.

Do this...

Deliver email using a custom SMTP server

Select this option to enable email alerts.

Additional fields are enabled.

SMTP Server

Type the SMTP server's IP address.

SMTP Port

Type the SMTP server's port number.

The default value is 25.

Server requires authentication

Select this option to indicate that the SMTP server requires authentication.

The Username and Password fields are enabled, and you must complete them.

Username

Type the user name to use when authenticating to the SMTP server.

Password

Type the password to use when authenticating to the SMTP server.
