Integrates CTERA Portal with EMC Atmos to Facilitate Hybrid Local/Cloud Service Delivery
Petach Tikvah, Israel and Palo Alto, Calif. August 4, 2011 – CTERA Networks today announced the integration of CTERA Portal, its service management portal for hybrid cloud storage and data protection, with EMC Atmos®. This integration enables customers to use EMC Atmos as the globally distributed cloud storage infrastructure for CTERA’s Cloud Attached Storage® gateways. CTERA has also joined the EMC Velocity Partner Program.
EMC Atmos for globally distributed cloud storage has been chosen by world-class service providers and independent software vendors to enable unprecedented flexibility in delivering cloud storage solutions to market. It automatically manages the distribution of rich, unstructured information, independent of geographic location. The CTERA-EMC Atmos integration further extends this storage platform to offer remotely managed services and use CTERA’s all-in-one cloud storage gateways/data protection appliances to facilitate LAN-speed backup and file sharing.
“We are very pleased to have CTERA Networks join the EMC Atmos Velocity Partner Program and integrate with EMC Atmos,” said Jon Martin, Senior Director of Product Management and Marketing, EMC Cloud Infrastructure Group. “CTERA extends EMC Atmos into the SMB market and enables customers to capitalize on their investment in cloud storage and serve the growing demand for highly cost-efficient, elastic and scalable storage.”
CTERA Portal empowers cloud service providers to offer hybrid on-premise/cloud storage and data protection solutions to their SMB customers with complete control and minimal operational overhead, and based on their cloud infrastructure of choice. Service providers can create service plans, centrally managing all aspects of backup and recovery, synchronize cloud and local drives, subscriber on-boarding, service provisioning, status monitoring, billing and reporting. CTERA Portal works seamlessly with CTERA’s line of cloud storage gateway appliances and managed agents.
“CTERA Networks is committed to having an open architecture, supporting market-leading cloud storage platforms such as EMC Atmos,” said Liran Eshel, CEO of CTERA Networks. “The combination of the EMC Atmos and CTERA platforms is making it possible to accelerate cloud storage adoption, providing tremendous value to businesses of all sizes.”
The CTERA-EMC Atmos integration is complete and available now. It is already being used by leading cloud service providers.
