Last week we announced that CTERA Cloud Server Data Protection is now available on the AWS Marketplace. You might heard about it in AWS Insider, LANLine, InformatiqueNews, or many other global publications.
Overall, this is a development that both expands our lengthy and productive partnership with AWS and provides enterprises with an easy way to try and buy CTERA’s modern, cloud-native solution that protects AWS servers and applications in a much more efficient and cost-effective way than traditional backup tools.
Simply put, the data center backup solutions that have driven enterprise spending over the last three-plus decades are not equipped to meet the requirements of cloud-native server and application data protection. And as we found in our most recent industry research survey, IT organizations are struggling to meet data protection and business continuity objectives as they move beyond traditional data centers and into the cloud.

This offering also strengthens our long-standing partnership with AWS, during which we’ve delivered a joint solution for customers who seek cloud-first IT deployment models that leverage IaaS to avoid the security and privacy complications associated with SaaS applications. We have been an AWS Storage Competency Partner for storage and backup for many years, and a leading driver of AWS S3 storage adoption, as many CTERA customers choose AWS as the storage backend for our Enterprise File Services Platform.
We look forward to continuing our success with AWS as enterprise organizations increasingly seek secure, easy-to-use file services for cloud-integrated endpoints, offices and cloud-based applications.
